Classes

Classes are held at the Mountain Path Martial Arts Studio (MPMA)
at 3500 South 1251 West at the Village at River's Edge.

First Class	$20.00 per month
Additional Classes	$15.00 per month
Drop-in Fee	$10.00 per class
Performance Fee	$5.00 minimum
Make-up Class (Performing)	$10.00 per hour
Private Lessons	$15.00 per hour ($10/hr for DJSD students
Belly Grams	$150.00 per hour ($50 min.)

Semesters run in two-month cycle (6-8 weeks). Payment may be made at $20 per month, or $40 per semester). Fees are due the first class of the month. Cash and Checks accepted. Please make checks payable to Desert Journey.

This low-impact class is a continued introduction of the basic movements and posture of Beginning Belly Dance. A little faster-paced, Beginning 2 teaches you new combinations and movement structure in a simple dance choreography set to music.

The Isolation & Skills class is designed to review the basics of belly dance in a more defined and exact movements. This is an intermediate level class which breaks down several belly dance moves you already know. Each week, we will be learning a variety of moves and taking them to the basic of movements, discussing which areas of the body control which moves and learning the difference between skeletal and muscular movement. There will not be dance choreography for this class.

PERFORMING CLASSES
Joining a performing class does not mean you must perform, however we will be practicing performance pieces and positioning will need to be arranged. Performing requirements include making or purchasing one costume per year, wearing sandals/dance shoes, and a cover-up for each performance. Performance fees apply and will vary depending on the performance and requirements. If you are interested in performing, you must first meet the pre-requisites. Desert Journey Dance Company is a Professional group, performing many of the styles including Traditional, Cabaret, Tribal, Urban Tribal, Folkloric, and fusions. Performing with DJDC is by audition or invitation only. Please contact Fvorboda for more information.
AMANI	Saturdays 1:00-2:00pm
Amani is a Beginning/Intermediate level class, performing Tradition Egyptian and Fusion styles.
TROUPE SEKMET	Saturdays 2:00-3:00pm
Troupe Sekmet an Advanced level class, performing Traditional Egyptian and Fusion styles.
DRAGOMI	Saturdays 3:00-4:00pm
Dragomi is a Professional level group, performing Urban Tribal and Tribal Fusion styles. Performing with Dragomi is by audition or invitation only. Please contact Fvorboda if you are interested in auditioning.
NEPENTHE	Saturdays 4:00-5:00pm
Nepenthe is an Intermediate level performing class, performing Urban Tribal and Tribal Fusion styles.
